Summer Solstice Henna Art by Le Fay, Bristol
Yesterday afternoon my body was a canvas for Le Fay
This design is in honour of the being who visited and gifted me
while at Avebury for Winter Solstice 2012
This morning I rubbed the henna off to reveal this beauty
.
Dreamer, cat familar and destined Shamanka, Le Fay holds a deeply nourishing, healing space
while she draws your visions from within.
Solstice Blessings,
Aldora

My grandmothers eggs are truly rotten
Remember that performance I did in London back in October 2011?
My Grandmothers Eggs
Narrating notions of fertility and the demise of my womanhood through the perception of my eager family, 'My Grandmothers Eggs' confesses a secret womb-paranoia encouraged by the biological clock that strikes louder each year. Moving through expressions of ignorance to desperation, until I actively leave my dignity, prospect of vailidity via offspring and the intense hope of future grandmothers far behind.
The title of the performance was named so after I learnt that a woman born is complete, having all her egg cells from the day she enters the world. Therefore, when my mother was in utero, to some extent, so was I.

Blessed with great friends
I returned home to find an envelope on my desk....
This beautiful fabric painting was inside it!
(The picture doesn't do it justice!)
I'm going to stitch it to the back of my jacket. I absolutely love it!
An Angel is just what I called for!
Thank you Angeliki!
